Rolling
Employing state-of-the-art equipment, Erickson Metals is able to roll uniform thickness throughout a coil, holding gauge tolerance far closer than commercial standards. We can fulfill our customers' specific needs for a wide range of finishes, including
- standard "Z" mill finish
- one/two sides bright
- matte finish
Coils are rolled to exact specifications, producing a high quality, uniform product which enables our customers to reduce waste, and minimize machine adjustment and down-time in their own production processes.
Annealing
Erickson provides a complete range of tempers precisely tailored to each application, from 0-temper (soft) to full hard tempers.
Erickson Metals' computer controlled, inert gas annealing furnaces enable us to produce stain-free material with minimum surface oxides, fine grain size, and mechanical properties consistently throughout coils.
Our customers find that Erickson's annealing allows them to
- reduce scrap
- maximize tool life
- increase production rate of quality parts.
Slitting
Erickson Metals' slitting lines process coils cut to our customers' close-tolerance width specifications from 1/4-inch to 36 inches, with maximum outside diameters to 60 inches.
The tightly wound coils that result from Erickson Metals' precision slitting consistently create less surface damage, produce less scrap, and are easier to handle.
Sawing, Cut-To-Length, Shearing
Erickson Metals maintains the most advanced equipment in its modern plants. Our facilities process sheet, plate, rod, bar and extruded metals for customers in many industries, which include high technology and aerospace applications.
Erickson provides customers with these benefits:
- precision sawing with tolerances as close as +/- 0.005 on width and length, as well as close tolerances for squareness and parallelism
- cut-to-length materials up to 1/8-inch thick, 60 inches wide, and as long as 20 feet
- precision shearing of up to 1/4-inch thick and 12-foot long materials, with tolerances better than half commercial standard on width and length.
