A Friendly Bet Between Branches
In May, the defending NBA champions, Denver Nuggets, took on the Minnesota Timberwolves. With Erickson Metals having an office in Colorado, and one in Minnesota, some friendly banter began the minute it was announced the two teams would play each other to see which would advance to the next level in the NBA playoffs.
After much discussion it was finally decided that the losing team would have to fly the winning team’s flag in their warehouse. After an exciting seven-game series, the Timberwolves dethroned the Nuggets with a 4-3 win. Minnesota branch Director, Corey Bayer was able to make a special appearance to replace the Denver Nuggets flag with the Minnesota Timberwolves flag.
